Fine Arts
Denise Krup is coordinating the Fine Arts competition. You can contact Denise at Summit@awana.org.
Check-in
Scheduled performance times will be e-mailed to the team’s Summit leader approximately one week prior to Summit. This will be your only confirmation. Plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled competition time. If you are not there at your scheduled time, you will forfeit your opportunity to perform.
Fees and Participation Forms
As indicated on the Summit registration form, each participant must pay the $60 fee for up to two entries, (an additional $25 for a third entry). The signed Fine Arts participation form and fee must be submitted for each Fine Arts entry. Please submit these documents with the general Summit registration form.
All registration forms must be postmarked by March 12, 2010. Registrations will freeze at this time so that room assignments can be made and e-mailed to team’s Summit leaders. We can not accept any changes after that date.
Song Suggestions
Music selected for competition must be either sacred or patriotic. For the purposes of this competition, sacred music is defined as songs dedicated to God as the object of our worship. The lyrics must reflect this and therefore contain an actual name of God. You may perform any sacred piece you wish but for help in choosing a piece or finding an arrangement of contest quality, refer to the "Contest Piece Suggestions" sheet.
Room Assignments
Competitions will be in Gallery Hall at Pheasant Run.
Practice Rooms
Practice room will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Please be considerate of your time in the rehearsal rooms if others are waiting.
Wristbands
Wristbands are required for entry into a Fine Arts competition room. Two wrist bands are provided with each Fine Arts entry form. Daily spectator passes will be available for purchase beginning at the Summit Registration Office.
Lunch Break
During the noon hour a lunch break will be available. A cash lunch station will be Garden Terrace Atrium.
Rule Book
Here is a copy of the official Summit Fine Arts Rule Book.

Be sure to include your name, the name and address of the college and whether the check should be sent to anyone’s attention. Also include any information that the school requires (ID number, etc.). The scholarship check will be sent directly to the college along with a letter of explanation.
